Are you interested in hosting a concert?  It’s easier than you think, and so much fun!  We prefer smaller venues... house concerts, churches, piano stores, schools, etc. Our first preference are house concerts unless we can guarantee a full house at larger venues. Piano stores, schools and churches typically hold around 75-150 people. House concerts typically hold around 25-50 people. We would much rather perform for a full house of 25-50 people than a half empty room at a larger venue.

For a house concert, the house needs to have a working piano, preferably a grand piano, (we’ll play on uprights as well), and needs to be tuned within one week of the event. The house also needs to be able to seat at least 20 people. We must also be able to sell merchandise (CDs, Songbooks, Sheet Music, etc).

For a piano store, school or church concert, the venue needs to have a working grand piano, and needs to be tuned within one week before the event. If there is a fee to use the venue, that needs to be negotiated in advance as well. We must also be able to sell merchandise (CDs, Songbooks, Sheet Music, etc).

Here are the available options (that we’ve thought of anyway)...

HOUSE CONCERTS

1. We sell tickets to the public.  We charge $15-$20 per seat and we will do everything from our end to promote the show, and ask that you do all that you can to help by encouraging your local neighbors, coworkers, friends, family and local people to buy tickets and attend the show as well. The more help we have in selling tickets and filling seats, the more successful the event will be.  We must also be able to sell merchandise (CDs, Songbooks, Sheet Music, etc).  There is not a fee for this option.

2. We do a private house concert. Our fee is $300 and we ask that you provide/guarantee an audience of at least 20 people. Most hosts will ask for a donation from their guests to help offset the fee. This option is great for people who are not comfortable opening their home to the public and would prefer to have only their friends and family attend the show. We must also be able to sell merchandise (CDs, Songbooks, Sheet Music, etc).

CHURCHES

1. We sell tickets to the public or collect a "love offering" depending on the churches preference.  We charge $15-$20 per seat or have a suggested "love offering". We will do everything from our end to promote the show, and ask that the church do all they can to promote as well. If the church has a rental fee, this must be negotiated.  We must also be able to sell merchandise (CDs, Songbooks, Sheet Music, etc).

2. The church pays us an appearance fee of $300. The church then has the option to sell tickets or collect a "love offering" for whatever they would like, of which we retain 20% of anything over $300 collected. The church helps promote to fill seats and we will do the same. We must also be able to sell merchandise (CDs, Songbooks, Sheet Music, etc).

3. We play a free concert for your church (no ticket sales) but we collect a suggested "love offering". We require a minimum "love offering" of $600 and the church pays us the difference if we don't reach the minimum. We must also be able to sell merchandise (CDs, Songbooks, Sheet Music, etc).

SCHOOLS (with auditorium and piano only)

1. We sell tickets to the public. We charge $15- $20 per seat and we will do everything from our end to promote the show, and ask that the school does all they can to help by encouraging students, parents, local neighbors, coworkers, friends, family and local people to buy tickets and attend the show as well. The more help we have in selling tickets and filling seats, the more successful the event will be.  If the school has a rental fee, this must be negotiated.  We must also be able to sell merchandise (CDs, Songbooks, Sheet Music, etc).

2. We charge a $750 appearance fee. The school can sell tickets for whatever price they like, of which we retain 20% of anything over $750 collected. The school promotes the show and we will promote as well. We must also be able to sell merchandise (CDs, Songbooks, Sheet Music, etc).

PIANO STORES (must seat at least 40 people in recital hall)

1. We sell tickets to the public. Any fee to use the piano store recital hall must be waived or negotiated as we will be marketing and bringing in potential customers to the store. We charge $15-$20 per seat and we will do everything from our end to promote the show, and ask that the piano store does all they can to help by encouraging students, parents, local neighbors, coworkers, friends, family and local people to buy tickets and attend the show as well. The more help we have in selling tickets and filling seats, the more successful the event will be. We must also be able to sell merchandise (CDs, Songbooks, Sheet Music, etc).

COMMUNITY ARTS THEATERS

1. We have a tiered appearance fee of $750 for seating up to 100 seats, $1000 for seating between 100-300 seats, and $1500 for seating larger than 300 seats. The theater would help promote and we will promote as well. The theater can charge whatever ticket price they like and they keep 100% of ticket sales. We must also be able to sell merchandise (CDs, Songbooks, Sheet Music, etc).

WHAT TO EXPECT

Our concert experiences are intimate and up close and personal. They are very casual and we encourage audience interaction. Concerts typically run 2.5 hours with a 20 minute intermission. We prefer evening concerts that start at 7:00pm or 7:30pm, but will entertain the option of afternoon concerts if the opportunity arises.

All of this is negotiable and we are open to any discussions or alternate ideas. Let us know which options work best for you. Please let us know if you have any questions or need any additional information. We appreciate your involvement in helping us book concerts in your area and look forward to performing for you.
